Bluecat Paper Factory Tour
Bluecat Paper Factory
Join us as we walk you through the essentials of handmade paper making. Paper made at the Bluecat paper factory is air dried to make it stronger in texture. The excess water goes through our effluent treatment plant so that we are able to save over 35,000L of water a day. One key thing that we do is recycle the water back into production. Sheet formation requires water and we ensure that the water is at the right pH level to ensure premium paper quality.
The next step is the beating of the pulp and this process is tricky and the key to making paper. If the pulp is beaten too much, this will jeopardise the sheet formation.
The sourced material e.g cotton fabric needs to be sorted according to colour, cleaned and chopped.
Bluecat paper is 100% handmade, upcycled and recycled. Shop our range of products here.
